One thought on “A better world without a Blackberry?

  1. Look, I am all for using technology to enhance the business cycle and to better serve my clients, but here’s a suggestion – no blackberries in meetings that are less than 30 minutes (caveats: middle of a closing, patient on the OR table, building is on fire, etc.).
If you work in an office, chances are you have email at your desk and on your hip. I would be willing to bet that your face to face meetings would be more productive if, while you are in the confines of the building (other than for extended meetings), you leave your blackberry in your briefcase. Read your email when you get back to your desk. Use your blackberry when you are actually on the go and don’t have desk access. What happened to common manners and respect? Have we all acquired the attetntion span of gnat?
