My kids don’t understand what I do.
I am fortunate to work with great entrepreneurs as a Managing Director of the Cascade Seed Fund.
I am a startup veteran having been involved in 6 of them over the last almost 20 years. I have been a product manager, a CMO, a founder, and a CEO. My record is 4 exits and 2 “lessons” with 2 of those exits being somewhat meaningful. If I were a professional baseball player, I’d be in the hall of fame with that batting average.
I’ve seen a lot of stuff over the years – success and failure. The line is so narrow between the two. I have met great and not so great people and am intrigued by their stories.
I have the privilege of living in Bend, Oregon after a dozen plus years in Seattle. I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, have lived and worked in Atlanta, Washington, DC, and New York. I’ve been an investment banker (short lived), a management consultant (Arthur Andersen/Andersen Consulting/Accenture), and have been on an entrepreneurial journey since 1999 with a variety of technology startup companies.
